The gospel of Jesus Christ is simply peace with God and power from God. He came to show us God, The Father, fulfilling Isaiah 61 and making all things new. He brought resurgence to the world and continues to pour out His Spirit upon all (Joel 2). Resurgence means an increase of revival, renewal, restoration, rebirth, recovery, and an awakening.
Whether we are staring at the bottom of the barrel or standing on the highest mountain, God’s desire is to meet us right where we are at and move upon us, in us, and through us to a higher dimension of transformation.
Resurgence is about bringing refreshment to the dry, restoration to the broken, and release to the captive through the Holy Spirit.
Preaching the Word of God in a dynamically relevant and refreshing way, David passionately proclaims the love of God and completed work of Christ that not only gives eternal life, but abundant life.
The Bible clearly shows us that “signs, wonders, and miracles” will follow the preaching of God’s truth. That’s real power! It’s transformational power! But if the truth does not challenge us, it will never change us. Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ is about peace with God and power from on high to bring transformation to every situation. It is proclaiming God’s favor and design for humankind, making way for His Spirit to move upon and within hearts.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believe.
With nearly three decades of experience, David has led countless lives into the presence of God from every generation and denomination. God continues to use him as a catalyst in churches while encouraging other worship leaders.
Bringing greater awareness to the presence of God is one of the highest honors yet humbling responsibilities. Because you cannot lead where you’ve never been and you certainly can’t teach what you don’t know. Jesus showed us that true leading is more about following. So for me, leading worship is following the Holy Spirit, discerning hearts and directing others to the One I’m following. It’s no different whether I’m on the stage or on the street, worship is a lifestyle.
Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.
David has written over 150 songs and recorded 11 albums. He has worked alongside many seasoned producers and musicians. His songs are widely recognized by the passionate way he writes and sings about the character of God and the promises of God.
Jesus said, “My words are spirit and they are life.” So I try to write songs not just by craft, but by conviction. Because you will always sing and play more passionately about something you’ve personally experienced and believe in. Music has always been such a powerful medium. But for me, it’s just another vehicle by which God’s truth and spirit can flow through to touch lives. I pray that every song God inspires me to write, that it clearly communicates His truth and anointing. Art is best created when influenced by the ultimate Creator.
Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.
